Ansley Park, GA
Ansley Park is an affluent residential neighborhood within Atlanta, GA, located just east of Midtown and west of Piedmont Park. Development began in 1904 as the first Atlanta suburban neighborhood designed for automobiles. Streets were planned like parkways— wide and winding with extensive landscaping.
The area was developed by rail and real estate magnate Edwin P. Ansley, marketed as an elite alternative to Inman Park, Atlanta’s most fashionable residential neighborhood at the time. Construction of Ansley Park homes was mostly complete by 1930, covering a total of 275 acres. The neighborhood today has been designated a Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.
